The Fredericksburg Regional Alliance (FRA) is a nonprofit, public/private partnership created to effectively market the Fredericksburg Region, which includes the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford. The core mission of the FRA is to be a first class professional organization that markets the physical and human assets available within its five member localities in order to stimulate and facilitate quality economic growth, which will result in the creation of jobs, expansion of the tax base and an enhanced quality of life throughout the Greater Fredericksburg Region.
The organization facilitates new business opportunities, works with existing businesses, advances resources that will enhance the economic viability of the region and fosters regional cooperation among the public and private entities that are involved in economic development activities.
Since 2001, the Alliance and our economic development partners, have assisted over 117 companies either locate or expand within the Fredericksburg Region. These projects represent over $519 milllion in capital investment and over 10,000 jobs either created or retained. These jobs translate into over $383 million in annual generated payroll, a majority of which is spent by workers at local businesses on goods and services, thus benefiting all who live, work, or operate a business in the Fredericksburg Region.
The Alliance’s economic development initiatives are supported by public sector partners and private companies committed to the long-term prosperity of the region. Investment in the region reflects a commitment to creating a dynamic environment where business and industry can thrive.
