Gene currently serves as President of the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance, a position he has held since April 1, 2000. He has conducted 26 international market missions since 1991, which focused on England, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Rim including extensive travel in Hong Kong and Mainland China. He also serves as the chief fundraiser for the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance, a public-private partnership, where he has helped raise over $9 million to promote regional economic development.

Gene has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from George Mason University in Fairfax and a B.S. degree from James Madison University. He has extensive experience in legislative, public affairs, and international protocol gained during his 17 years in various positions in Washington, D.C. He also holds a Professional Certification of Certified Economic Developer from the International Economic Development Council.
Todd began his role at the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance as the Administrative Assistant on December 1, 2005. After learning the day-to-day activities of the Alliance and becoming more “hands on” with project management, he was promoted to and currently serves as Assistant Marketing Manager. Working closely with brokers and various other potential prospects, Todd works to achieve a goal of positively representing the Fredericksburg Region as an emerging employment center. He has experience in international travel and has a moderate understanding of the German language.
While maintaining the various duties of his position, Todd still manages the daily operations and communications. Todd is also well versed in technology, serving as the in-house technician for the Alliance. Todd is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration/Economics.
